News From Joan Whitty Stawicki
I'm sad to say that a dear friend - Jean Johanesen Sheffield - passed away on Wednesday, 8/26/09. She was very ill for many years and fought a good fight and now she's HOME......Jean was a strong Christian and knew where she was going when this battle was over. We were in touch on a regular basis for many years and she never lost her sense of humor - I will miss our joyful chats! Jean and her husband Bob were planning on coming to the reunion we had in AZ in '03 but she was too ill to make the trip. They came out to see us in '04 and we had a wonderful visit.....travel was difficult as Jean was on dialysis 3 times a week and was in a wheel chair. She had a kidney transplant but her body rejected it and they were not able to do another. They moved to Florida last year and she enjoyed being out of the "cold" but it was a tough year for her health wise. Please remember her family in your prayers.
Sincerely,
Joan Whitty Stawicki

Hi
I will remember Jean and her family in my prayers . My husband was on dialysis for 5 years before he died. I know that pain! God bless and protect her family as God has welcomed Jean home.

Tom Parrinelli:
I was saddened to hear the news of Jean’s passing. Jean and I grew up a few houses apart and were friends throughout our school years, as were our families. Joan is correct, Jean did have a great sense of humor, and a great personality also. I was honored to know her. My prayers to here husband and family.

Pat Brida Soderman, I feel so said about the passing of two favorite people who lived around the block from me when we were in school. We all were friends and spent our time at each others homes and at the Lake. Jean always made me laugh and so did Richie. I will pray for them and their families
